Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Fieldspilot is a field service management platform operated by Fieldspilot Inc. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about the businesses and technicians who use our product.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: Business name, owner email, phone number, business address.

Customer data: Names, addresses, phone numbers, job history. This data belongs to our business customers (tenants).

Technician data: Name, phone, employment details, certifications, and — when consented — GPS location during active work visits.

3. GPS Location

Fieldspilot only collects GPS location from technicians who have explicitly opted in. Location tracking runs only during active job visits (when the technician taps"On My Way" through to job completion). Location data is automatically deleted after 30 days. Technicians can view their own location history and withdraw consent at any time in the app.

4. How We Use Data

We use data to operate the Fieldspilot service: scheduling jobs, routing technicians, generating invoices, and processing payments. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not use customer data for advertising.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS. We use row-level security to ensure tenant data is strictly isolated. Sensitive data (e.g. Aadhaar numbers, payment keys) is encrypted at rest using AES-256.

6. Data Retention

Business data: retained for the life of the account plus 90 days after cancellation. GPS location history: 30 days. Call recordings: 90 days. Financial records: 7 years (legal requirement).

7. Your Rights

Account owners can export and delete their data. Technicians can view their own location history. India users have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA). Contact privacy@fieldspilot.com for data requests.
